Alexandra Holmes in the Almost Famous Maxi

Tell me about yourself and your personal style...

I love fashion, but I love it to be easy to wear. I am happy to wear a dress or shorts and t-shirt during summer, jeans and jumper in winter. I find it really is about how you accessorise your outfits so I love to mix it around with jewellery and shoes. Bohemian glamour would probably describe my style.

What attracted you to the collection piece you selected?

I am an artist who draws animals and people for a living (part time). I enjoy playing around with animal prints in my wardrobe too. The leopard print is one I love to mix with classic pieces. The colour yellow just makes me happy and reminds me of the sun so the two together is a real joy to wear. Plus you can never go wrong with a maxi skirt!

How would you describe your body shape ie. tall/short/curvy etc and how does this item suit it?

I am tall (5'7) and curvy, the maxi skirt suits me as I can wear this year round. T-shirt and sandals in summer and in winter with boots and a jumper or cami and blazer. This fabulous skirt suits me as I love a pretty skirt but also something that is easy to wear and  eye catching.

What is your favourite time of the year and why?

My favourite season is summer! As a child I grew up living next to the beach, really as my backyard, like many kiwi kids. Swimming, beach combing, kayaking and playing volleyball while feeling the sun on my back and listening to the surf. The beach and summer to me are part of my lifestyle and are forever my happy place.

If you could be any animal which would you be?

A long haired chinchilla cat (I had one as a child named Chinny). I would be quite happy being a cat as I would love having my long hair brushed. Food would be served regularly (I get 'hangry' alot) and you would always find me sleeping in the best sunny patch in the house.

Thanks so much Alexandra you have styled your Almost Famous Maxi so well for this cooler time of the year! Gorgeous pics and words (I feel like being a cat sleeping in the sun too now...) thanks so much for sharing xx
